Recompression Chamber Operator Course

This course offers an in-depth look at the physiology behind diving related injuries and the conduct of a Neurological exam for diagnostic purposes. Students will drill using an on-site 72” multi-place chamber and gain an understanding of operation of a vessel-based Transportable Recompression Chamber System (TRCS).

  • Tuition


    Cost includes book and test materials. Housing and meals are not provided, but a group rate has been negotiated at a local hotel. Numerous restaurants are located within a seven-mile radius of the facility.

  • Course Instructor

    Mr. Roger Garcia is a retired US Navy Diving Medical Technician and Hospital Corpsman. He has trained military and special operations personnel during his 20 years of military service and is currently the Operations Director for FIU's Aquarius Reef Base, the world’s only undersea saturation research station, and the Diving Safety Officer for the university.
