U.S. Navy Mission

Aquarius Reef Base and the US Navy continue a long-standing collaboration with two, back-to-back, five-day saturation missions. During these missions, divers refine sat dive protocols prior to implementation during extreme conditions, test technologies in a realistic environment, and engage in leadership and interpersonal skills training for team members. As the divers work on a series of discrete mission objectives, they are able to provide a collateral site maintenance service to the Reef Base program, such as cleaning and disassembly of the NEEMO rock wall and structurally reinforcing the lunar lander mock up.
